August 1996 - January 2006Assigned to the Washington Field Office Safe Streets Squad investigating the most violent drug enterprises in the Washington Metro area. In one investigation, I led a multi-agency task force and dismantled a national drug network responsible for the distribution of 8 tons of cocaine to cities throughout the United States. The investigation ended with the 3rd largest seizure of cocaine in the history of Maryland. I received the State of Maryland Narcotics Officer of the Year, an International Narcotics Award, and was recognized by the Executive Office of the President of the United States.

August 1987 - September 1996I conducted routine patrol and made arrests for criminal violations which included drug violations, environmental crimes, and property crimes. I was certified to operate State Police boats up to 50' in length. I received extensive criminal investigative training and received letters of commendation from state and local police departments, the Deputy Attorney General of New Jersey, and the Vice President of the United States. I was awarded the Gallantry Star for my arrest of an armed felon.
